Entry forms are due in the Fair office, or can be entered on-line by July 25th. **Please note** If you do not yet have a registration number or eartag/tattoo for an animal you can enter “pending” in the box on the entry form. If July 25th falls on a weekend, entries will be accepted in the Fair office on the following Monday without penalty. Late entries will be charged a fee of $10.00 per head through July 31st. After July 31st late entries may not be accepted.
        1. All entries must be complete in detail, showing proper lot, exhibitor's name and address,
     telephone, entry number, and signature.
  2. Registered horses in classes must be registered in the name of the owners. Note General Rules
     No. 15.
  3. The management reserves the right to limit the entries of the 6-horse teams. Combined
     ownership allowed. All entries in 6-horse hitches must have show equipment approved by the
     Superintendent.
  4. All 6-horse teams must be hitched to appropriate vehicles.
  5. Important: Barn clean up: Each exhibitor must have their stalls cleaned and a person on hand to
     assist the truck driver pick up the manure by 7 a.m. each day. No exceptions to this rule.
     Otherwise, the exhibitor will have to use a wheelbarrow.
  6. If it be ascertained that any exhibitor or exhibitor's helpers have any affiliation with or interfere
     with the judge in the performance of their duties, until all judging is completed, or shall refuse to
     accept the awards made, they shall be disqualified from further competition and shall forfeit any
     premiums and ribbons already awarded.
  7. Definition of Amateur driver: An amateur driver for a 4-horse hitch is any driver who has never
     before shown a 6- horse hitch in public competition or exhibition for a complete drive. Also, this
     excludes any first place winners of previous seven years at this Fair, except those 18 years and
     under. Experienced driver must accompany amateur.
  8. Dress code for 6 – Horse exhibitors: shirt, tie, and hat. Coat optional.
  9. Passes available for purchase at Fair office issued on basis of two passes for first team, one
     pass for every two horses thereafter.
10. Six horse hitch exhibitors, under contract, may purchase at the Fair office a maximum of twelve
     season exhibitor passes.
11. No draft horse exhibitor will remove their animals before 9 p.m., Saturday of the Fair.
12. Judging time: Monday, 6 p.m. sharp. Starting with Clydesdales, followed by Percherons and
     Belgians.
13. In exception to Rule No. 11 under General Rules, each farm herd shall be limited to two
     premiums in any one lot.
14. Six horse hitches MUST unhitch and push their wagons into place.
15. All stallions to be shown with a bit.
16. All entries must be in place by 9 a.m. on Monday, entry day of Fair.
17. Fair veterinarian must and will reject any animal with an infectious disease.
18. Monday halter classes will be open.
19. All harness classes will be closed and only open to those hitches under contract, unless the
     exhibitor showed in that class the previous year. (Exception-Youth Classes).
20. Maximum age for youth classes: No one can enter any Youth Classes if they are 18 years or
     older as of January 1 of the current Fair year.
21. In the event that the adult, who is assisting the youth entry, is doing ANY driving, the judge will
     automatically disqualify that entry.
