Hawaiian country singer, Maoli, will take the stage this summer! Known for his laid-back island sound, he will perform on Sunday, August 16, at 7:00 PM as part of the Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series. Presented by Mokuʻāina A Wakinekona Hawaiian Civic Club.
Rising star and Maui native, Maoli is making a name for himself with his unique blend of island reggae and country soul. With nine independent albums, over half a billion global streams, and a 15-year recording and touring career, he’s quickly garnered fans from across the US, Hawaii, and Polynesia. What started as music mixed with island pop and roots reggae later transformed into a unique Hawaiian-country sound that catapulted his career to new levels. Following his breakout in the country music scene in 2018, his albums featured a mix of original songs and covers of popular country hits. Two of those covers, “Mercy” and “In Case You Didn’t Know”, originally sung by Brett Young, led to Young and Maoli collaborating on a song together called “Broke Heart Break.” Maoli, now working in Music City, aims not only to continue capturing his authentic island-country background but also to bring the “island-reggae feel” to the country music industry. He recently made his Grand Ole Opry Debut and performed on The TODAY Show.
